Your data
Delete your Homeboard account
You can delete your account and the data that goes with it at any time. It’s permanent: we can’t restore it afterwards.
The quickest way: in the app
- iPhone or Android: open Homeboard, go to Settings → Delete account, and confirm.
- On the web: sign in, go to Settings → Delete my account.
No longer have the app?
Enter the email address you signed up with. If it belongs to a Homeboard account, we’ll email it a link to confirm the deletion. The link works for 24 hours.
Can’t get to that inbox? Email hello@homeboard.ai from another address and we’ll verify it’s you another way.
What we delete
- your profile, sign-in and settings;
- every home you own, with its rooms, appliances, documents, receipts, photos, tasks, service history and files;
- your Ask and Diagnose conversations, pro requests and messages;
- your notification tokens and product-usage events;
- if you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Homeboard’s access to your Apple ID when you delete in the iPhone app.
We ask our analytics providers (Amplitude and PostHog) to delete what they hold about you, and cancel any active subscription so you’re not charged again. Backups roll off within 30 days.
What we keep, and for how long
- Payment records (amounts, dates, Stripe references) for 7 years, because tax law requires it. They’re no longer linked to your account.
- Opt-out records (for example, a number that replied STOP) for as long as we need them to respect your choice.
- If you shared a home that someone else owns, that home stays with its owner.
More detail is in our Privacy Policy. Questions? hello@homeboard.ai.
