Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and HomeBoard (Inov8r Labs Inc.) (“Homeboard”, “we”). By creating an account or using Homeboard you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 16 and able to enter a contract to use Homeboard.

• Keep your login details private; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
• Give accurate information, and tell us if you think your account was accessed without permission.
• If you share a home with others, they can see and edit that home’s information according to their role.

What you add — photos, documents, notes, home details — stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Homeboard for you (and for people you choose to share it with). You can export or delete it at any time.

Diagnose, Ask and scanning use AI. Answers can be wrong or incomplete. They are general information, not professional, engineering, electrical, legal or insurance advice.

Safety first: for gas smells, sparking, flooding, structural concerns or anything that feels unsafe, stop and call a licensed professional or emergency services. Only attempt a DIY fix you’re comfortable with and that’s allowed where you live.

Pros on Homeboard are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. We check certain details when pros join, but we don’t guarantee their work, pricing, licensing or insurance — confirm what matters to you before you hire.

Any agreement for work is between you and the pro. If something goes wrong, tell us at hello@homeboard.ai — we’ll help where we can and may remove pros who don’t meet our standards.

Pros who join Homeboard also agree to separate pro terms presented when they claim or create a profile.

• The Free plan is free, with usage limits shown on our pricing page.
• HomeBoard Plus costs $9.99 a month or $79 a year, plus applicable taxes, charged in advance through our payment processor.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• Cancel any time in Settings → Subscription. You keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for; we don’t give partial refunds unless the law requires it.
• We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before changing the price of your plan.

If you add a mobile number and turn on texts, you agree to receive texts from Homeboard about your account, pros’ replies and alerts you’ve chosen. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You can also turn texts off in Settings → Notifications. Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Please don’t:

• break the law, or upload content you don’t have the right to share;
• harass pros or other users, or post false reviews;
• try to access other people’s data, probe or overload our systems, or scrape the service;
• resell Homeboard or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend accounts that do, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

We work hard to keep Homeboard available and accurate, but it’s provided “as is”. Reminders and alerts are a helpful backstop, not a guarantee — you remain responsible for maintaining your home.

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can’t be waived.

You can stop using Homeboard and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may end or suspend the service with reasonable notice, and will give you a chance to export your data unless we can’t for legal or safety reasons.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we change them in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you in advance by email or in the app.
